Roderick Odom

Rod has a distinguished career in telecommunications. Following two years in commercial banking, he made his start with Southern Bell in West Palm Beach, FL, in 1972, as a communications consultant. Following this, he held a number of sales operations and training assignments over the next several years with Southern Bell and AT&T. Mr. Odom joined BellSouth in 1983 as Director of New Venture Planning and held a variety of sales, marketing, and operations positions including Vice President of Marketing of BellSouth Telecommunications, President of Small Business Services and BellSouth Business Systems. In January 2000, he was named Executive Vice President of Network Operations of BellSouth Corporation and was named President of Network Services in 2002. Following the merger of BellSouth and AT&T, he was named CEO of AT&T Southeast. He retired in April 2007.

Rod now serves as director of Piedmont Healthcare, Inc. He is also a member of the Board of Oglethorpe University. His past involvement has included the Board of Sheltering Arms, the Board of Piedmont Hospital, the University of Florida Engineering Advisory Board and the Corporate Foundation Committee of the Florida Foundation.

Rod and his wife, Betsy, reside in Fernandina Beach, FL. They are the proud parents of three daughters: Catherine, Elizabeth, and Patricia.
