Ms. Joan Forrest
Joan Forrest is the President and CEO of the Dawson Academy, an International, postgraduate educational and clinical research company, dedicated to the advancement of dentistry. She lectures nationally and internationally on the topics of leadership, team building, and communication skills.
Prior to joining the Academy, she founded and served as president of Prime Performance, a training and consulting company specializing in developing self-directed work teams and facilitative leadership. Joan’s career experience also includes management positions with AT&T and United Technologies. Joan is a past recipient of the Outstanding Female Leadership Award from the University of Florida and is a member of the University’s Hall of Fame.

Mr. John Fitzpatrick
John W. Fitzpatrick co-founded Force Marketing and serves as its president and CEO. Force Marketing is the automotive industry’s leading provider of targeted, trackable and technology-driven marketing solutions. Since its founding in 2007, the company has grown to boast a team of more than 100 employees. Force Marketing is based in Atlanta, GA and has an office in New York City, NY.
While he was a student at UF, John worked in the Office of the President serving as Director of Hospitality. Since graduating and founding his business, John has been twice honored as a member of UF’s Gator 100, recognizing the 100 fastest-growing Gator-owned or Gator-led businesses in the country. In 2016, he was also honored by the University of Florida Alumni Association with an Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
John and his wife, Kristina Fitzpatrick ’06, reside in Atlanta, GA and are proud parents to their newborn son, James. He is also a member of the Southern 7 chapter of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization), and serves on the Board of Directors forBright Futures Atlanta.

Dr. Marilyn Black
Dr. Marilyn Black is founder of Air Quality Sciences, Inc. (AQS), a testing and research company focused on chemical and biological air pollution, including environmental chamber testing and its application in evaluating human health risks of indoor materials, furnishings, cleaners and electronic equipment and their various components. In 2011, AQS became UL Air Quality Sciences through acquisition by UL (Underwriters Laboratories), an independent testing and certification organization.
Dr. Black currently works with UL’s not-for-profit organization developing strategy and research agenda related to chemical toxicity associated with construction materials, furnishings, electronics and consumer products in relation to human health, impact on safety science, and advancement to safer, greener products.
Throughout her career, Dr. Black has been extremely active in her area of expertise, leading and participating in numerous national and international scientific organizational initiatives, research projects and community outreach programs. Shehas been recognized with a number of prestigious public service awards including the national Keystone Leadership in Environment Award, and published extensively on environmental pollution, indoor air quality and human health field, and provided expert testimony to Congress.

The Honorable Dennis K. Hays
Dennis K. Hays is a retired career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service. Ambassador Hays joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 1976 and served overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, and South America. He also worked as an advance man for Presidential and Vice-Presidential visits overseas, and was twice elected President of the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA), the union and professional voice of the Foreign Service worldwide.
Ambassador Hays was the Coordinator for Cuban Affairs at the Department of State from 1993 to 1995 and served as Director of the Office for Mexican Affairs the following year. He was the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname from February 1997 to June 2000. After leaving government service, Amb. Hays served as the Executive Vice President of the Cuban American National Foundation, Managing Director of the Washington D.C. based Global and Government Affairs practice of Tew Cardenas, LLP, Vice President of Thorium Power, a nuclear energy company, and currently is a Director of The Emergence Group.
Ambassador Hays has been awarded the State Department’s Superior Honor Award four times (1981, 1987, 1991 and 1995). He received the Christian Herter Award for Intellectual Courage and Creative Dissent in 1996 and the Order of the Palm from the Republic of Suriname in 2000.

Mr. Roderick Odom
Rod has a distinguished career in telecommunications. Following two years in commercial banking, he made his start with Southern Bell in West Palm Beach, FL, in 1972, as a communications consultant. Following this, he held a number of sales operations and training assignments over the next several years with Southern Bell and AT&T. Mr. Odom joined BellSouth in 1983 as Director of New Venture Planning and held a variety of sales, marketing, and operations positions including Vice President of Marketing of BellSouth Telecommunications, President of Small Business Services and BellSouth Business Systems. In January 2000, he was named Executive Vice President of Network Operations of BellSouth Corporation and was named President of Network Services in 2002. Following the merger of BellSouth and AT&T, he was named CEO of AT&T Southeast. He retired in April 2007.
Rod now serves as director of Piedmont Healthcare, Inc. He is also a member of the Board of Oglethorpe University. His past involvement has included the Board of Sheltering Arms, the Board of Piedmont Hospital, the University of Florida Engineering Advisory Board and the Corporate Foundation Committee of the Florida Foundation.
Rod and his wife, Betsy, reside in Fernandina Beach, FL. They are the proud parents of three daughters: Catherine, Elizabeth, and Patricia.

Dr. Stewart Perlman
Stewart Perlman is a retired physician, having practiced anesthesiology and acute pain management for over 33 years. He was in a group private practice for over 25 years and in academic medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee for 6 years. Dr. Perlman attended The University of Florida as an undergraduate, getting his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology as a pre-medical student in 1976. He has very fond memories of his time at UF remembering a course that focused on the roots of Judaism and Christianity that helped form his understanding of Judeo-Christian theology until this day. Similarly, another course he took at UF was about an appreciation of Classical music for which he attributes his current enjoyment of listening to the likes of Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart. He now resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Suzy who claims to be a
Gator by Marriage (1983), for 33 years. They have three children: Alan, Daniel, UF BSBA, 2011, and Abby. Of additional note, Stewart’s father, Moe Perlman (BA ‘1951) played basketball for the Florida Gators as a walk-on.

Ms. Domonique Worship
Domonique Worship is Associate Counsel, Legal and Business Affairs at the National Basketball Association. Domonique’s practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions, primarily in Latin America. Domonique is a member of the New York Bar. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
