RULES OF USE

Food & Beverages

All catered events must be catered by a UF approved caterer.

Cleaning

All tables and chairs moved for your event must be put back in their original location. All clean-up (getting rid of food, trash, picking up the floor or carpet) is the responsibility of the person(s) who are using the room and must be completed promptly at the end of the event.

After Hours

If you plan to use a room for the weekend, holiday, or late-running events, email roomreservations@clas.ufl.edu at least 3 days prior to the event. Doors cannot be left propped open, as a silent alarm will call UFPD and the fire station, resulting in a fine.

For after-hour events, you may want to contact PPD (352-392-1121), to ensure that the air conditioning will be left on in the building or room(s) being used.

Keys

Keys for rooms reserved through the Dean’s Office can be picked up the day of the event at the front desk, 2014 Turlington Hall between (8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). All doors must be locked, and keys must be returned the following day. Neglecting to lock the doors may result in fines or bans.

Permitting

The room user is responsible for following all UF policies and rules. Events where cash is exchanged, events including well-known individuals, any event open to the General Public, etc., all require permitting. Please review sections 4.1 and 4.1A at Use of University Space – Regulation and Policy Hub (ufl.edu) for more information. To avoid cancellation, your permit must be submitted to roomreservations@clas.ufl.edu at least five (5) days before the event’s start date.
